5. Adventuring
As you travel through Amberland, the map will begin to reveal itself. While you don't have to step on every point on the map, it is in the party's best interests to expose as much of the map as possible because you never know if the next step will reveal a new cave or castle to investigate. Entering locations such as castles, towers, or dungeons will temporarily remove you from the overland map, and the mini-map changes into an auto-map, revealing the explored portions of the area.

As you explore the landscape, you'll encounter a wide variety of places to explore and people to meet. Some individuals will offer advice, while others will provide quests. By completing these quests, your party will gain experience and other rewards. You can review your current quests by clicking the quest icon on the info screen.

Interacting with objects

To interact with objects such as opening chests, using switches, or reading plaques, simply move forward by stepping into those objects.

Secrets

Illusionary walls can be detected by observing the magical eye in the top right corner of the 3D view box which opens when one is nearby.

Wells & Fountains

Wells restore HP (Hit Points) of all party members.

Fountains provide various temporary perks to all party members, such as resistances or attribute boosts. These perks do not stack, only the highest value perk from a temporary source is applied. For example, if you drink from a +5 Fire Resistance fountain and then from a +10 Fire Resistance fountain, the total resistance bonus from drinking will be +10.

Fast Travel

After acquiring membership in the Griffin Riders Guild, you gain access to the fast travel option. Summoning a griffin can be done from the map screen. First, click on the map where you'd like to travel, and then click the "Summon Griffin" button. Griffins can only take you to an already explored part of the map and only where you are a safe distance from any monsters. There is also a short cooldown (you can't summon a griffin immediately after summoning the previous one). Griffins cannot land or be summoned on Desert or Lava tiles.
